Rethinking how candidates are chosen… again

We are now deep into the “primary season”. How have the primaries and caucuses done in choosing a candidate? Well to sum it up… Poorly!

The Republican candidate is pretty much decided, and John McCain can start consolidating his campaign. He can also concentrate now on attacking the democrats. The potential Democratic candidates, however, are still slugging it out. They must still invest much time and money in their primary campaigns and are still going after each other. After Super Tuesday the Question of Vice President Gains Importance

Even though Super Tuesday did not determine who will be the presidential candidates for the major parties, the question of who will be vice president is becoming more important. The Republican race has consolidated. It is not so much that Mike Huckabee will drop out, but the fact that he may be the leading vice presidential candidate. He can give McCain the missing conservative support he needs to win. Although both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are both very strong, their vice presidential candidate will play a significant role in winning the general election. Continue Reading »
